As reported in Antara, Indonesia is projected to have 3.8 million Rice surplus in 2009, thanks to favorable climate conditions and a 0.3-percent expansion in the overall rice farming area.
Well, let’s just hope Indonesia shall again achieve the condition of self-fulfilling rice stock or “swasembada padi” like in Soeharto regime
