Indonesia Jan 09 Investment realization up to 57%

I read on this site that according to Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal-BPKM), investment realization in Jan 09 is having an uptrend compared to Jan 08 by 57%. The total investment in Jan 08 is Rp 4.53 Trillion compare to Rp 7.15 Trillion in Jan 09.

The uptrend growth is still driven by Foreign investment (from Rp 3,96 trillion to Rp 6,39 trillion) while the Local investment only grew Rp 0.19 trillion.

The leading country of Indonesia investor is South Korea (18 projects – US$ 205 Millions), Seychel (1 project – US$ 156,3 Million ), England (5 projects – US$ 119,9 Millions), and Holland (6 projects – US$ 60,5 Millions).

From the investment that was materialized on Jan 09, it is predicted that there will job opening for total of 23.317 people (PMA – 20.344 people and PMDN-2.973 people).

Hmm, really not so bad performance. Looks like Indonesia is still considered as attractive for investment I hope this trend shall continue in the future.
