Bintan Resort put S$170 Millions investment
This fact maybe because this resort is intended for international tourism, especially for Singapore. It is said that even the transaction is made on Singapore Dollar. I do not know whether it is true or not since I am not yet go there (maybe someday). Also, if you search the word “Bintan” in Google, you will likely found more info about the Resort than the info about Bintan as an Island
But the truth is, Bintan potential as resort for international travelers is very big. It has beautiful beaches, golf course (that some say as the most beautiful in Asia), and even its own ferry terminal to Singapore. Imagine that ?
It’s no wonder that I read on this site that Bintan Resort Cakrawala (BRC) as the master developer of integrated tourism area in Bintan has spent S$170 Millions for the resort infrastructures. The infrastructures includes electricity, roads, malls, water dam, security and so on.
Fyi, the company currently also marketing the 1,300 ha area in Lagoi Bay along 8km Bintan beach. On this area, the company shall also currently build 2 malls in the 2.5ha area.
In my opinion, with the BBK FTZ implementation, the flow of international tourist shall surely come even more. I hope then the international tourist shall able to spread out the word about Indonesia and how beautiful it is as cultures, nation and also people !
