Finally, after we can almost say that Indonesia Political mayhem aka Indonesia Presidential election is finally over, Indonesian people can focus on another important issues, such as the Economy. Below you can find the numbers of Indonesian Economy Indices – 1st Semester of 2009, which I was taken from this site.

The site also said that the Indonesia economy growth factor are majority due to government and consumer spending while it took into account also the initial recovery of investment and export. The positive increment trend also shows by transportation-communication-electricity-water-gas sectors. The sector that heavily hit by global economy crisis is manufacturing and trade.

================================================
* Economy Growth – 4.1%
* Inflation Rate (Year-on-Year) – 3.65%
* Rupiah rate vs US$ – Rp 11,082/US$
* Indonesia Crude Oil Price (ICP) – US$51.6/barel
* Oil production – 957K barel/day
================================================

I am not the economy expert, but from this figures looks like Indonesian Economy indeed can survive the global economy crisis and even it can grew! It is proven by the economy progress on the first semester of 2009 (although still miss the original target of 4.5%) is 4.1%. As I said earlier, I am not the expert, but looking at this figures really makes me feel good for the future of Indonesia economy. Hopefully, we can do better in 2010.
