Budget Hotels in Batam Center Area (Part 1)

In another 2 weeks, Batam shall be the host of International event, which is ASEAN Jazz Festival. Many Indonesian and International Jazz musician shall performed infront of their audience in Batam latest hostpost tourism spot, Ocarina Batam Center on 07-08 Aug 09.

This Jazz music event, for sure shall bring many visitor from outside Batam to watch this rare event, The visitor may even come from foreign countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand or Philiphines. And why don’t they since their musician shall play also on the festival ?

For that reason, for those of you who might need the info of hotels which located near to the music festival area, I can informed you that actually there is 4 hotels located in Batam center which is quite near from Ocarina. All of them actually can be considered as a budget hotels since their tariffs is cheap and they only offers quite basic service. So you can not expect them to offer you the service like 4-5 star hotels But do not worry, based on my experience, their service is quite satisfactory.

You can consider one of these hotels if your preference is just a clean place to lay your head and rest after watching your favorite artist on the festival. Another interesting point is that these hotels also quite near from Batam Center International Ferry terminal, one of the Batam gate to the outside world. All of these hotels can be reach on max of 15 minutes from the Ferry terminal.

This is the farthest from all 4 hotels in Batam Center. This hotel is located near the Palm Spring Housing complex, right after Sei Panas cross road/red light if you came from Batam Center Ferry Terminal. This hotel is surrounded by restourant (there are KFC and also Indian Food specialist, “Maharaja”), small shops and also grocery store (Gelael).

This hotel is located right beside the BCA Bank Sei Panas Batam Center. This hotel also quite near from Vihara Maha Duta Maitreya so for those of you who a vegetarian, you should pick this hotel. I was informed that on Vihara Maha Duta Maitreya there are many vegetarian restaurants you can choose from.
