Inflation rate (Sep 09):
- On Sep 09, inflation rate is 1.05 percent and Customer Price Index (CPI) is 116.46. From 66 cities across Indonesia, 63 cities are having inflation while 3 cities are having deflation.
- The highest inflation happened in Bandar Lampung (2.66 percent – CPI 123.55) and the lowest inflation happened in Gorontalo (0.05 percent – CPI 117.70).
- The highest deflation rate happened in the city of Sorong (0.98 percent – CPI 132.70), while the lowest deflation rate happened in Manado (0.36 percent – CPI 115.00).
- Inflation rate on this year (Jan- Sep 09) is measured as 2.28 percent, while the year-on-year inflation rate (Sep 08 – Sep 09) is recorded as 2.83 percent.
Export-Import (Aug 09):
- Indonesia’s export value reach US$ 10.55Billions, a 8.89 percent increased from Jul 09. If compared to same period last year, it is a decreased by 15.41 percent.
- From Jan – Aug 09, Indonesia’s export value reach US$ 70.30 Billions, a decreased by 26.30 percent from the same period last year.
- Indonesia’s import value reach US$ 9.30Billions, a 7.07 percent increased from Jul 09.
- From Jan – Aug 09, Indonesia’s import value reach US$ 59.36 Billions, a decreased by 34.30 percent from the same period in 2008.
International Tourist visit (Aug 09):
- The visit of International tourist to Indonesia reaches 566.800 people or an decreased by 4.49 percent in Jul 09. If compared to the same period in 2008, it is also an increased by 4.59 percent.
- From Jan – Aug 09, the number of foreign tourist that visiting to Indonesia has reached 4.13 millions, an increased by 1.38 percent from the same period last year.

Well, even though we have some lower figures from last month, for me it seems that Indonesian economy is peaking up and continue to have positive trends. I just hope this good trend shall continue further and the Indonesian economy statistics for the following months shall get better and better.
