It is expected that this international event shall bring more than 1000 visitors from around Indonesia, Asia Pacific regions and even visitor from the European countries. According to the news, at least 1000 participants already confirmed their attendance in this Asian Vegetarian Congress in Batam Island, Indonesia.
According to Jowly Yao, chairman of the daily operations AVC 2009, 14 countries in Asia and Europe has sign up in this congress. The attending visitor is expected from countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, China, Japan, Dubai, Iran, India, Hong Kong and so on. Meanwhile, from Europe it is represented by England, France and Belgium.
For this 4th Asian Vegetarian Congress event in Indonesia, it is coordinated by Indonesian Vegetarian Society (IVS). As said by Jowly Yao, the realization of this event in Indonesia is a result of the hard work done by member of IVS. Proudly, it can be done in Batam Island, Indonesia to further promote the Visit Batam 2010 program. Yao also said that this event is fully supported by Kepri Government Tourism Office and Batam Tourism Board.
Fyi, the 1st AVC event is held in India, the 2nd congress is held in Thailand, while the 3rd event is held in Taiwan.
It is expected that respectable officials from UN (Chairman of Climate Change) and NASA scientist shall also come to this 4th Asian Vegetarian Congress in Batam Indonesia. During this 5 days event, the participants shall attend the scientific presentations by the scientists and experts, and also some discussion.
