Indonesia Economy 2010 better than 2009

In just 3 weeks time, we shall come to a new year, 2010 and shall leave the 2009 behind. In economy perspective, in 2009 Indonesia still can grow positively despite the global economy turbulence. Yes, the growth is slower, but compare to other countries, Indonesia has proven itself as a country that has a strong economy and financial fundamentals and can achieve some excellent point in maintaining its positive tracks on all the economy indices.

So how about 2010 ? Shall Indonesia Economy also be better ? I think there is no better person to answer that question other than Indonesia Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani Indrawati. As quoted from Antara website, Indonesia Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has expressed optimism the domestic economy in 2010 will grow at a faster pace than 2009. But she also express that it will depend also on Indonesia banks’ soundness and credit chanelling.

Sri Mulyani said “I believe the Indonesian economy will perform better next year”. She added that if Banks managed to maintain their soundness and channel credits up to more than 15 percent of the target for 2010, the economy would perform better next year.
“Channel credits to good projects. Make sure that credit agreements are signed properly so that banks will not have difficulties collecting the debts,” she said. Indonesia Finance Minister also expressed that Banks should study how to manage their businesses well so as not to cause problems to many people in the future.

Well, it is such a good analysis from Indonesia Finance Minister. I do hope that Sri Mulyani prediction about Indonesia Economy in 2010 shall came true so Indonesia can really have a better positive economy growth in 2010.
