For each and everyone of you who looking for the statistic figures of Indonesian Economy in Jan 10 and Dec 09, Indonesia’s Central Statistic Bureau (in Indonesia called as Biro Pusat Statistik or BPS) just recently provides some of the Indonesian Economy statistics numbers for Jan 2010 and Dec 2009. Here are some of the highlights :

Inflation rate (Jan 2010):
- On Jan 10, inflation rate is 0.84 percent and Customer Price Index (CPI) is 118.01. From 66 cities across Indonesia, all cities are having inflation.
- The highest inflation happened in Maumere (3.56 percent – CPI 130.49) and the lowest inflation happened in Palu and Sorong (0.12 percent – CPI 121.10 and 134.01).
- Inflation rate on this year (Jan 10) is measured as 0.84 percent, while the year-on-year inflation rate (Jan 09 – Jan 10) is recorded as 3.72 percent.
Export-Import (Dec 2009):
- Indonesia’s export value reach US$ 13.33Billions, a 23.69 percent decreased from Nov 09. If compared to same period in 2008, it is a increased by 49.82 percent.
- From Jan – Dec 09, Indonesia’s export value reach US$ 116.49 Billions, a decreased by 14.98 percent from the same period in 2008.
- Indonesia’s import value reach US$ 10.33Billions, a 17.15 percent decreased from Nov 09.
- From Jan – Dec 09, Indonesia’s import value reach US$ 96.86 Billions, a decreased by 25.03 percent from the same period in 2008.
International Tourist visit (Dec 2009):
- The visit of International tourist to Indonesia reaches 625,400 people or an increased by 17.63 percent from Nov 09. If compared to the same period in 2008, it is also an increased by 2.45 percent.
- From Jan – Dec 09, the number of foreign tourist that visiting to Indonesia has reached 6.32 millions, an increased by 1.43 percent from the same period last year.

Well, to tell you the truth I am amazed with the numbers. I do know that Indonesia economy figures are good, but I never expected that it can be that good
In my humble perspective, all above statistic figures really shows Indonesia is in the right track for positive growth, and we can expect that the year 2010 can bring more good news to Indonesian economy.
