It’s been a while since my last posting and my first posting after this “hibernation” is the statistic figures of Indonesian Economy in Feb and Jan 10, from Indonesia’s Central Statistic Bureau (in Indonesia called as Biro Pusat Statistik or BPS) which just recently provides some of the Indonesian Economy statistics numbers for those period. Here are some of the highlights :

Inflation rate (Feb 2010):
- On Feb 10, inflation rate is 0.30 percent and Customer Price Index (CPI) is 118.36. From 66 cities across Indonesia, 52 cities are having inflation and 14 cities are having deflation.
- The highest inflation happened in Tarakan (1.82 percent – CPI 135.68) and the lowest inflation happened in Jember (0.04 percent – CPI 118.93).
- The highest deflation happened in Maumere (1.30 percent – CPI 128.79) and the lowest deflation happened in Ternate (0.07 percent – CPI 122.13)
- Inflation rate on this year (Jan-Feb 10) is measured as 1.14 percent, while the year-on-year inflation rate (Feb 09 – Feb 10) is recorded as 3.81 percent.

Export-Import (Jan 2010):
- Indonesia’s export value reach US$ 11.57Billions, a 13.29 percent decreased from Dec 09. If compared to same period in 2009, it is an increased by 58.99 percent.
- Indonesia’s import value reach US$ 9.54Billions, a 7.35 percent decreased from Dec 09. If compared to same period in 2009, it is an increased by 44.58%

International Tourist visit (Jan 2010):
- The visit of International tourist to Indonesia reaches 493,000 people or a decreased by 21.17 percent from Dec 09. If compared to the same period in 2009, it is an increased by 4.20 percent.

Well, there you have it… The statistic figures of Indonesian Economy in Feb and Jan 10. I do not know about you, but even though it seems not that bright, I still have feeling that Indonesia shall do well on this year !! I do hope that my feeling is right and we can expect more good news for Indonesian economy in 2010 coming months… There are still 10 more months to the end of 2010 anyway :D
