As everything is cooling down after all the hype about iPhone 5, I think it is time sit down and really think through on what is really going on. I think it is time to reflect and really think deeper whether the new smartphone from Apple, iPhone 5 is really that good. For those who do not know it yet, Apple’s next-generation iPhone 5 launches on September 21st starting at $199 on contract. It is said that preorders begin this Friday, September 14th.
Well, from the all I read on the internet it is indeed that Apple has doing good job on delivering what it should be a very good device that can change the smartphone war teritory for good. Apple has unveiled a taller, lighter and speedier iPhone, iPhone5 that has poised to become the fastest selling technology gadget in history. And this reflected by Tim Cook. During presentation Tim Cook said that “Apple has never been stronger”.
I think it is also felt by investor. Apple stocks gained 1.3 percent to $678.49 at 10:05 a.m. in New York. The event marked Apple’s first iPhone introduction since co-founder Steve Jobs passed away in October a day after the iPhone 4S was unveiled. As much the iPhone 5 represents innovation, it also demonstrates Apple’s penchant for following competitors on some features, including screen size and compatibility with faster wireless networks.
With Samsung, Google’s Motorola Mobility and HTC Corp. introducing devices with bigger screens, the iPhone 5 is the first time Apple has changed the size of the device’s screen. Even though using faster networks can drain a phone’s power supply, Apple said iPhone 5’s battery lasts longer than earlier models. The iPhone 5 also comes 18 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than the iPhone 4S, Apple said. To make the device more svelte, Apple changed the design of the charging-dock connector. During the event, Apple also announced a new version of its iPod Touch wireless music player.
So what is really the key feature on iPhone 5. Below is the list :
A6 processor. The A6 is twice as fast as the iPhone 4S’s chipset, and Apple says it offers twice the graphics performance as well.
Bigger and better display. It is not just a bigger display, a better display. According Apple, the new 4-inch display on the iPhone 5 has 44% better color saturation compared to its old Retina display.
New noise cancellation technology with three microphones.
Better battery life. Apple says the new iPhone 5 battery will last even longer than the one used in the iPhone 4S.
Better camera. The camera on the iPhone 5 is even better as it can captures 8-megapixel images, takes better low-light photos and it provides 40% faster photo capturing. Apple also said the camera can take still shots while recording HD video, and it now includes a built-in panorama mode.
New iPod touch. The fifth-generation iPod touch is just 6.1 millimeters thick and it includes same size 4-inch display as iPhone 5. It also now supports Siri, comes in a variety of colors, and ships with a matching “loop” wrist band — we know you’re excited about the wrist band.
Seems like the new Apple money making machine is here already. I cannot wait to get hold on the great iPhone 5.
