Some day, please drop by at our Batam-based office of Indonesia Vegetarian Society. The island is very close to Singapore. We will be very pleased to show you around and have a taste of the Indonesian vegetarian food.

Fyi, we’re now working on establishing the Vegan Society of Indonesia. Hopefully, it can come into existence soon before May 2010.

Well, it is very good in theory but very often is not good in practice. There are variety of factors hinder the implementatio of the program, partly come from government official and some from the community itself. when government provides program for tergetted poor people, those who are not the target of the program also claim that they deserve assistance thru the program. in some cases, front line officers are prone to be victim of misleading claim and atitude of their communities. lack of inter-agency partnership is also one factor. Sufficient time to do socialization and strengthening partnership among related institution are obligatory in the pre implementation, and law enforcement must be strictly implemented too to those divert from guidelines.
