It seems like that the Flip acquisition by Cisco from Pure Digital for about $590 million in 2009 turn out to a fruitless adventure. Looks like the shrinking potential of marketshare of Flip, a maker of Video camera with wi-fi enable, has scared away Cisco from continuing their partnership. The growth of Indonesian economy shall reach 7 percent in 2011 if Indonesian government can provide some necessary conditions. This condition is quite simply the improvement of Indonesia business and economy fundamental such as infrastructures, supporting laws and regulations, good financial environment, etc. By doing that, the chambers believes that Indonesia`s economic growth in 2011 can grow more than current levels. Well, reading along the post I can not help to notice that the chambers recommendation to enhance the growth of Indonesian economy in 2011 is actually an “old school” method. There is nothing new about it. But I appreciate the fact that the chambers reminds all of us again that it is really the fundamental that we may lack in near sunrise of 2011. We need that reminder. So it is now up to the Indonesian government whether they really want to take the chamber’s advice and bring Indonesia economy growth to the new level in 2011 Continue reading » Search terms for this post:indonesia economic growth 2011 Nickel It is true that Indonesia is still an attractive spot for international investment. Despite the fact that there are a lot of penetration in Indonesian market by a local and Internatioal Insurance company, in one of the article that I read, if we compares to Indonesian inhabitants which is estimated to 220 million people (www.Menkokesra.go.id), the insurance policy holder is just 12 millions people. So it is only 6 percent from total Indonesia population. Even if we compared to Indonesia neighbour countries like Malaysia and Singapore, this number is really really small. In those countries, the number of Insurance policy holder is reaching 30-40 percent (www.republika.co.id).
Since Indonesia market potential for Insurance is really big, there is no wonder Indonesia became a target by many International Insurance company. This situation is very different when we look back around 5-10 years ago. In those days, Indonesian Insurance company rule the market share. But I think now the situation is changing.
