2011 Indonesia`s economic growth up to 7 pct: Chamber

Partners

Partners

I read on Antara site that Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) said on Thursday, 23 Dec 2010 that Indonesia economy may grow up to 7 percent in 2011 . The growth of Indonesian economy shall reach 7 percent in 2011 if Indonesian government can provide some necessary conditions. This condition is quite simply the improvement of Indonesia business and economy fundamental such as infrastructures, supporting laws and regulations, good financial environment, etc. By doing that, the chambers believes that Indonesia`s economic growth in 2011 can grow more than current levels.

Well, reading along the post I can not help to notice that the chambers recommendation to enhance the growth of Indonesian economy in 2011 is actually an “old school” method. There is nothing new about it. But I appreciate the fact that the chambers reminds all of us again that it is really the fundamental that we may lack in near sunrise of 2011. We need that reminder. So it is now up to the Indonesian government whether they really want to take the chamber’s advice and bring Indonesia economy growth to the new level in 2011

Indonesia to built Nuclear Power Plants in Babel

Nuclear Power Plant

Nuclear Power Plant

I stumble on some “good” news on Antara that Indonesia is actually already prepare to build the Indonesia’s first nuclear power plants in Bangka Belitung (Babel) province, Sumatera. Indonesia nuclear power plants in Bangka Belitung province can provide 16,600 MW of combined electricity which shall meet electricity demand in Babel province itself and in Bali and Sumatra. The nuclear power plants of Indonesia shall be located in Muntok in West Bangka district and Permis village in South Bangka district.

Well, eventhough I am quite skeptical about this Indonesia first nuclear power plant, I must admit that I am quite proud that Indonesia already have the technology to build nuclear power plants. I just hope that our scientist and government really prepare all the safety precautions before carry out the plan to make this nuclear power plant in Bangka Belitung province.

2011 Indonesia Industrial growth up to 6.1 pct : Minister

Industry

Industry

I read on Antara site that Indonesian government predict that Indonesia Industrial growth in 2011 can reach 5.2-6.1 percent. The prediction of Industrial growth of Indonesia in 2011 is delivered by Industrial Minister, MS Hidayat on Wednesday 22 Dec 2010. The minister then explained that with that number of Indonesia’s Industrial growth in 2011, it will create more than 14 millions job nationwide.

Well, I really hope this prediction can come true. In fact, in my personal opinion this target can be exceeded as long Indonesian government really focus on this sector by creating investment climate that friendly to the investor and cut the heavy cost incurred to the Indonesia industries shareholder. By doing this, the target of Indonesia Industrial growth in 2011 can really reaches 6.1 percent.
