I read on this site an interesting story that soon Indonesia shall become the biggest cocoa producing country soon. Currently, Indonesia is in the second place while Ivory Coast is in number one as the largest cocoa producer country. But it appears that the Governor of West Sulawesi, Anwar Adnan Saleh has firm belief that Indonesia shall be the largest Cocoa producer by 2014. It is due to that currently Indonesia has on going program to further improve Cocoa production.

Indonesia to stop exporting Raw Material

I read on this site that Indonesian Minister of Industry, MS Hidayat said that Indonesia is now planning to stop being an raw material exporter so Indonesian Industry can enjoy Indonesia rich natual resources so it can flourished.

The Minister told the press during the opening of “Increasing Domestic Product Use” Expo 2010, Sunday 28 Nov 2010 in Jakarta.

For those of you who looking for some statistic figures of Indonesian Economy, Indonesia’s Central Statistic Bureau (in Indonesia called as Biro Pusat Statistic or BPS) just recently provides some of the Indonesian Economy statistics numbers for Oct and Sep 09. Here are some of the highlights :

Inflation rate (Oct 09):
- On Oct 09, inflation rate is 0.19 percent and Customer Price Index (CPI) is 116.68. From 66 cities across Indonesia, 45 cities are having inflation while 21 cities are having deflation.
- The highest inflation happened in Padang (1.78 percent – CPI 119.82) and the lowest inflation happened in Depok (0.05 percent – CPI 115.49).
- The highest deflation rate happened in the Banda Aceh (1.30 percent – CPI 117.32), while the lowest deflation rate happened in Madiun (0.02 percent – CPI 120.06).
- Inflation rate on this year (Jan- Oct 09) is measured as 2.48 percent, while the year-on-year inflation rate (Oct 08 – Oct 09) is recorded as 2.57 percent.

Indonesia’s Central Statistic Bureau (in Indonesia called as Biro Pusat Statistic or BPS) just recently provides some of the Indonesian Economy statistics numbers for Sep and Aug 09. Here are some of the highlights :

Inflation rate (Sep 09):
- On Sep 09, inflation rate is 1.05 percent and Customer Price Index (CPI) is 116.46. From 66 cities across Indonesia, 63 cities are having inflation while 3 cities are having deflation.
- The highest inflation happened in Bandar Lampung (2.66 percent – CPI 123.55) and the lowest inflation happened in Gorontalo (0.05 percent – CPI 117.70).
- The highest deflation rate happened in the city of Sorong (0.98 percent – CPI 132.70), while the lowest deflation rate happened in Manado (0.36 percent – CPI 115.00).
- Inflation rate on this year (Jan- Sep 09) is measured as 2.28 percent, while the year-on-year inflation rate (Sep 08 – Sep 09) is recorded as 2.83 percent.

Central Statistic Bureau of Indonesia (BPS) just recently released some Indonesian Economy statistics numbers for Aug 09 and July 09. Here is some of the highlights :

Inflation rate (Aug 09):
- On Aug 09, inflation rate is 0.56 percent and Customer Price Index (CPI) is 115.25. From 66 cities across Indonesia, 63 cities are having inflation while 3 cities are having deflation.
- The highest inflation happened in Manokwari (2.00 percent – CPI 130.26) and the lowest inflation happened in Singkawang (0.03 percent – CPI 117.77).
- The highest deflation rate happened in the city of Sorong (0.76 percent – CPI 134.01), while the lowest deflation rate happened in Palembang (0.14 percent – CPI 116.27).
- Inflation rate on this year (Jan- Aug 09) is measured as 1.22 percent, while the year-on-year inflation rate (Aug 08 – Aug 09) is recorded as 2.75 percent.
