After several events of big tornado hit across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, there is another report said that Tornado Watch has activated in Chicago area, central and eastern Illinois until 1pm CDT. The report said that many Storms have been generated due to a powerful of low pressure system happened in American plains lately. On other report, the National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for the following counties: Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Cook, LaSalle, Kendall, Grundy, Will, Kankakee, Livingston, Iroquois and Ford. Continue reading » Following the recent tornadoes that hit Kentucky, Iowa, Missouri, and Tennessee area last month, the department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) just announceed that they will hasten the speed disaster relief assistance to those area. It is reported that in Kentucky, following counties are declared as disaster area and are eligible for HUD foreclosure relief and other assistance : Ballard, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carlisle, Carroll, Carter, Crittenden, Daviess, Fleming, Fulton, Gallatin, Henderson, Hickman, Kenton, Lawrence, Livingston, McCracken, Morgan, Nicholas, Oldham, Owen, Union and Washington. While on Missouri the eligible counties are : Butler, Mississippi, New Madrid, Saint Louis and Taney Counties. In Tennessee, the eligible counties are Chester, Davidson, Decatur, Dickson, Henderson, Humphreys, Lake, Shelby, and Sumner. I just read an articles today that it turn out that twelve supercell thunderstorms produced at least 25 tornadoes across North Carolina on Saturday. This event is the largest collection of tornadoes in the states in 27 years. In other news I also read that President Barack Obama is pledging to help North Carolina as emergency crews are still assessing the damage left behind from a deadly line of tornadoes. The cost of devastation itself is still being assess, but one thing for sure it the number shall be big, with capital B!
